Raw Paleo Donut Holes!

Three Words: Yum. Yum. Yum.

These raw grain free paleo donut holes are better than the real thing! I promise.

Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes

  • 1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/3 cup almonds (if you have time:soaked overnight, skins removed)
  • 1 vanilla bean, scraped, or 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 4 medjool dates, pits removed
  • 2 TBS coconut nectar, maple syrup, or honey


Add dried coconut to food processor, and process alone for 30 sec to 1 min to release oils. Add in almonds, vanilla, cinnamon, sea salt, process until all mixed & fine. Add in dates process, and then add in honey.
Form into balls with your hands. Roll in coconut sugar & cinnamon coating.

You can eat the as is, freeze, or dehydrate at 115*F overnight.

    With the coconut – are you processing until it’s coconut ‘butter’ consistency? If yes, what would be the equivalent amount of coconut butter to sub? These look great! Thanks.

      Good question, but no, not processing it into a coconut butter, just processing the dried coconut flakes for 30 seconds to 1 minute, to turn them into a finer crumble. I really think the donuts remain more cake-like using this lightly processed coconut as compared to using a dense coconut butter. But I am sure you can play around it with, and it will likely taste delicious how ever you choose to prepare them!!

    For National Donut Day today my kids wanted to go out and buy donuts. I vetoed that request and told them I would find a Paleo donut recipe we could make instead. We made these. Yum!! The kids told me they were better than regular donuts. Score! Thanks for sharing!!!
