This Cherry Italian Soda Recipe is a true Cherry Bomb of flavor, and it couldn’t be simpler to make!!
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite summer drinks! And there are so many things to love about it!
#1 The base is made with sparkling mineral water, full of vital minerals like calcium and magnesium, and is naturally anti-inflammatory.
#2 It has been proven that black cherry juice, and especially tart cherry juice, are effective in fighting inflammation and arthritis. It is also loaded with anti-oxidants. And if you aren’t crazy about cherry juice (but seriously who doesn’t love cherries?) then you can make this drink with pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, fresh strawberry juice, raspberry juice…
#3 The splash of coconut milk adds a nice creamy texture, and healthy fats. This is the perfect drink to help fuel your body.
#4 This soda actually makes you feel good vs. the icky side effects from drinking a fizzy high fructose corn syrup soda. Guilt free bliss!
Cherry Italian Soda (paleo/vegan)
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup sparkling mineral water or soda water
- 1/2 cup 100% cherry juice (fresh or from a jar)*
- 1 Tablespoon coconut milk (full fat, fresh or canned w/o additives)
- Fill a glass jar with ice.
- Add in sparkling water.
- Top with cherry juice (or any juice you please!)
- Gently pour in a little splash of coconut milk.
Note: to make fresh cherry juice, you can either use a juicer, or blend the cherries with the mineral water and serve, or strain it through a nut milk bag and then serve!
